Position availability depends on program need.  All positions require a vehicle, valid driver license & considerable knowledge of mental illness. Additional minimum requirements: An associates level education OR equivalent related work experience.

Counselors provide support, education and supervision to people with mental illness. Counselors evaluate client needs, supervise medication, communicate with service providers, assist with goal planning, provide recreation etc.

 

 

Per Diem Relief Counselor (varied locations/hours at community residences and apartments in the East Northport, Commack, East Patchogue, Rocky Point, and Cutchogue areas)
