Admission Criteria

Each application is reviewed after it is received by the agency. Applicants must have a primary psychiatric diagnosis and be able to participate in rehabilitative programs geared toward independent living. In addition, prospective residents:

… must enter the residence voluntarily,

 … must have the capacity to learn the various skills of daily living,

 … must not be harmful to themselves or others,

… should be able to take medication with a minimum of supervision,

 … must be 18 years of age or older,

 … must agree to participate in structured, purposeful activity during the day,

 …must attend psychiatric and other medical services when indicated, and

 … must agree to follow the rules of the program.
